Instant Racing up in 2015
The two Kentucky racetracks with Instant Racing machines saw another increase the first two months of 2015, according to the Kentucky Horse Racing Commission.
The $57.9 million bet in January and February 2015 at Kentucky Downs was up 12.7 percent over the same period in 2014. The $8 million bet at Ellis Park in January and February 2015 in Henderson was up 67.3 percent over the same period in 2014.
The Red Mile instant racing facility, approved for 1,000 machines, will nearly double the 517 machines at Kentucky Downs and Ellis Park combined.
