TAKE ACTION ON HB 445
The KHHA has been working diligently to have HB 445 corrected since it was introduced in the House. Now, all KY horsemen needs to take action to have the Standardbred Development Fund included in the Instant Racing tax.

HB 445 has now been received in the Senate. Let your Senator know that the Instant Racing tax, included in House Bill 445, does not appropriate any of that tax to the Standardbred Development Fund. Considering it does appropriate a portion of the tax to the Thoroughbred Development Fund, it was probably just an oversight. The bill needs to be corrected to have a portion of the Instant Racing tax, being collected from harness racing tracks, to be deposited into the Standardbred Development Fund - just as the "live racing" pari-mutuel tax currently does.
