The Red Mile P4 continues USTA Strategic Wagering success

The Red Mile was the latest track to join with the USTA Strategic Wagering program by guaranteeing a Pick 4 pool of $5,000 on opening night (Aug. 7) and continued the program’s success as the pool exceeded $7,100.


The Pick 4, consisting of races 7-10, paid out (1,5,1,6) $106.60 for a $1 wager despite two second-choice horses winning the first half and two favorites winning the second half of the Pick 4.
Race 7 – The KY Fair Stakes Final for 2 Year old filly pacer's was won by SCOOTIE BEST LOU, for driver Christopher Loney for Trainer Ben Davis and Owner Charles Purvis, in a career best 1:57.
Race 8 – The KY Fair Stakes Final for 3 Year old filly pacer's was won by CS KENTUCKY, for driver/trainer Tyler Shehan for owners Jimmy and Oneita Wolaver, in a career best 1:55.4.
Race 9 – A Mini Series for 2 Year Old Fillies was won by NORTHERN MISS HALL, for driver Dan Noble for Trainer Johnson Hill Jr. and owner Northern Lane Farm, in her first lifetime start in 2:01.
Race 10 – A N/W 1 (Mares 2) was won by PATTY SAYS SO, for driver/trainer/owner Jack Gray Jr., in 2:00.3.
The Red Mile will continue to offer a Pick 4 guaranteed pool of $5,000 every Sunday in August.
