Doc's Hope sets a national season's mark at Thunder Ridge

Doc's Hope (Cams Eclipse - The House Of Pan - Artsplace) won her first lifetime start in 1:56.4, the fastest mile this year by a 2-year-old on any size track, in Sunday's $4,000 Two Year Old Filly Pace Kentucky Fair Stakes at Thunder Ridge.

Trainer and Driver Michael Neafus placed the filly fifth out of the gate, going to the 1/4-mile in 29.4. Neafus had improved to third by the 1/2, in 59.3, and acquired the lead by the 3/4, in 1:28.4. Down the stretch, Neafus widened the lead with every stride while posting a :28 last quarter, to win by 21 lengths.

Dr. Andrew Roberts bred and owns Doc's Hope.
