Prewitt accepts position with HHI
KHHA Executive Secretary Gabe Prewitt has accepted a director's position with Harness Horsemen International (HHI). HHI President Gene Oldford contacted Prewitt last week after a former HHI director, Chandler Woodcock, was named commissioner of the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife on Feb. 10.
Prewitt said, "I think having a voice in such a powerful national organization can only help our state and our future" in his weekly update on http://www.khha.net/.
HHI is comprised of harness horsemen's associations from throughout the United States and Canada, including the KHHA, and works to better harness racing standards by promoting welfare, insurance, and better purses while seeking to protect members against unfair policies.
